Algeria campsite is a peaceful, grassy area on the Rondegat River. It has 48 campsites for tents and caravans. The campsite has recently been improved with a few solar-lit walkways between specific campsite areas for visitors to easily find their way in the dark. A newer and safer low water bridge, with upgraded sluices, has also been installed to better accommodate vehicular traffic and manage the water flow from the swemgat. Repairs and improvements were also made to all three communal campsite bathrooms for the comfort and pleasure of visitors. Did you know? We have extended our checkout time from 10:00am to 12:00pm exclusively for campers, now you can relax and enjoy your surroundings a little longer?

Another striking upgrade to the reserve is the self-catering cottage called Garskraal. This cottage is a large, fully equipped two-bedroomed cottage that can sleep 4 adults and 2 children under 12, on a sleeper couch. A new firewood hot tub has recently been installed with a privacy screen for your enjoyment. Experience the warmth of the hot tub while admiring the mountains in front of you and watching nature come alive in your surroundings.

While exploring this reserve do not forget to purchase unique branded memorabilia from our onsite curio shop to remind you of your time on this beautiful reserve.
