CapeNature’s Bliss on the Bay is the Perfect Holiday Stay

6 Feb 2023

Bliss is a feeling, an emotion and a state of mind filled with happiness and family. Bliss is also a destination, just an hour away from Cape Town, in the warm and inviting coastal town of Pringle Bay.

CapeNature’s latest addition to its host of accommodation is Bliss on the Bay - a special place, where memories are created against the backdrop of the precious Brodi Link Nature Reserve in the Overberg. Outside, the house is embraced by the vibrant fynbos while the stoic Hottentots Holland Mountain stands guard in the distance.

The birdlife and small animals keep a watchful eye on its visitors. Nature is all around you. It’s a place of tranquillity, where connecting with nature is the only meaningful outcome of time well spent. There’s something in it for the adventurous with hiking and biking trails to remember, and the leisure traveller who wants nothing more than to relax.

Bliss on the Bay sleeps 10 guests (6 adults and 4 children) in four bedrooms which makes it a family’s dream holiday space - or a place for a group of friends to escape the hustle of urban life. There are three bathrooms, a cosy lounge and two fireplaces to heat the cold winter nights. The house’s prime elevated location renders unforgettable views of the town and its beaches from each bedroom.

There’s a games room for the kids and adults to play inside decked out with table tennis and foosball - or they can explore the outdoors when the weather is glorious. The adults can indulge in a game of darts, relax in the wood-fired Kol-Kol hot tub and or work on their tans on the viewing deck.

The large hammock on the front deck will make friends with the most

laidback guest looking for a state of bliss in the shade. When the clouds come in and the wind picks up, Bliss on the Bay offers a homely reprieve with a warm fireplace in the spacious lounge and a glass-cased living area that allows you to continue braaing, eating or Netflixing with an incredible view no matter the weather.

The family-sized dining table is the heart of this home away from home, a spot to catch up and partake in a meal cooked on the braai or in the kitchen. Bliss on the Bay lives up to its name for all the right reasons. It’s a gem hidden in spectacular sight.
